Osei Kojo holds the completed mold in his right hand. Note the hole that is pierced in the top of this is the hole through which the molten brass will pass. The mold is heated in a fire and the wax melts, is poured from the mold, and a negative image of the wax model is left. In his left hand, he holds a cup that he has modeled from clay and in which he has placed pieces of brass.
