Ayoola was well known for the beauty of his masks as well as his ability to fit them comfortably to the head, a feature attributed to the fact that he himself was an egungun masquerader. Sodeyinde is said to have paid far above the average amount to Ayoola to encourage quality. Extra carvings touches include the elaboration of the carved and incised designs inside the ears.
