Leather bag. Frafra peoples, Ghana. Private Collection of Fred T. Smith.

Most Frafra men of any status own a decorated leather bag that has replaced the traditional goatskin bag. Chiefs and men of status use cushions of red leather decorated with sewn and glued overlays and leather cutouts.  With the possible exception of the walking stick, all of these leather works have become popular tourist items.
